In addition to the beautiful vertical grain quality of a Quartersawn Hardwood Floor, Quartersawn Hardwood Floors possess numerous physical characteristics that make it a sound choice:
- Quartersawn floors are dimensionally stable.
- A Quartersawn wood floor will experience very little lateral expansion and contraction, reducing the occurrence of gaps between the boards.
- A Quartersawn hardwood floor has less cupping and twisting.
- A Quartersawn hardwood floor ages with less surface checks and splits.
- A Quartersawn hardwood floor has a very hard, dent resistant surface that wears evenly.
Extra Thick Wear Layer
Accra's Quartersawn Hardwood Flooring is machined with an 'extra-thick-wear-layer' which greatly extends it's life. Specifically, the wear layer of our 7/16" strip floor is the same as the average 3/4" strip flooring after the first sanding.
Extra Long Lengths
We machine Accra Precision Milled Hardwood Flooring in extra long lengths. We ship random length with a heavy proportion falling between 7 & 9 foot in length.
